Smarter, smaller, and more powerful than ever: the brand new AiM Sports Solo 2 DL is the game-changers we've been waiting for!

Not simply lap-timers, the Solo 2 DL is the most precise trackers on the market: receiving data from GPS and GLONASS, two satellite constellations, our device provides lap-times with a maximum 2/100 tolerance.

Use the AiM Solo 2 DL to overlay your data onto your recorded track video from your SmartyCam GP HD 2.2. (DL stands for Data Logging) More Info Below

Because of AiM's dedication to its drivers and riders, they have fit 10 configurable RGB LEDs ready to inform you, sector to sector, if you are improving, or not, in real time.

Not enough!? Of course not! You should know that the AiM Sports Solo 2 DL also has a huge internal track database with over 3000 circuits: when you power ON your Solo 2 DL, it automatically selects the right track, without any need for you to set it up. But even if the track you want to get out on is not in the database yet, Solo 2 DL will switch to autolearning mode, understanding the characteristics of the track and providing you with the lap times anyway.

Tracks, fields, hill-climbs… Wherever you are, whatever you are driving or riding, The AiM Sports Solo 2 DL is exactly what you need and what you've always wanted.

Wi-Fi communication with the PC

Wi-Fi connection: easy, fast, without connectors or cables: the best way to configure your Solo 2 DL, to manage the track database, and to download the data to your PC.

AiM Sports Solo 2 DL Additional Features

The AiM Sports Solo 2 DL is a Solo 2 with an ECU connection. More than 1,000 protocols for 1,000+ ECUs in the database, allows you to easily connect your Solo 2 DL to your Engine Control Unit and get loads of information with just one cable. In case your ECU protocol is not in the database, no problem: an ECU Driver Builder is always available in the Race Studio 3 configuration software, and you will be able to create your protocol by yourself.

Coil RPM input

The AiM Sports Solo 2 DL now features a digital input allowing the user to log RPM either from square wave signals (8-50 V each signal) or pulse signals (150-450 V ignition coil trigger – primary circuit).

iPhone connection

Use your iPhone for a quick and comfortable data analysis, for managing the track database, and even for an On-Line view of the most important parameters of your engine.

Nice Data Logger; Battery Issues

The Solo 2 DL is a decent data logger that with much better pricing than a full logging system.
Unfortunately, if you purchase this DO NOT rely on the battery. It must be hard wired to operate. The biggest problem with this unit is that it loses battery life rapidly when turned off. Even after just a few days of storage the battery will be dead when you try to use it.
Other than the battery problems the display is easy enough to read as long as you setup your screens with the largest text. I can't really recommend the smallest text widgets which allow you to put 4 items on one screen.
The software has a steep learning curve but is powerful.
I hope they fix the battery circuit so it actually holds it's charge. Then I could give it 5 stars.

No Data So Far

Well it looks better than my old Aim Solo but not getting any data.
Tried to use it for the first time at Hallett at a BMW CCA weekend. Hallett not loaded on the list of tracks (Hallett has been around for 42 years). I also tried the "auto-learn" feature (yes it was enabled in the menu) and I set the sensitivity to "wide".....nothing. I threw the Solo 2 back in my bag and used my old one.
Response from Winding Road Racing: Hi Eric, We're sorry there are complications with your Solo 2. It sounds like this may be a GPS issue. We recommend you call AiM directly at: 951.674.9090. Also, please be sure the most up-to-date firmware installed. Please email us at or call 512-994-0656 if you need further assistance. Thank you!

Even better than I imagined

This timer is awesome! It really made a significant difference in reducing lap times due to its immediate feedback every time you change your lines slightly. I hope no one that I race against gets one too, but we do however love having it in our car.

SOLO1 is better

The SOLO2 Is pretty....but I don't see a reason to upgrade. The screen has more glare, its hard to see the lights, It does not do anything better than the first SOLO. Battery life is also much worse than a SOLO1
