The I/O Port Racing Supplies Seat Back Brace has met with approval by SCCA, IMSA, PCA, NASA, BMW CCA and other sanctioning body's scrutinizers. Our new updated aluminum units are designed to bolt to the back of the seat and clamp to the roll bar, no welding required. The unique clamp will fit roll bar tubing from 1-¼" to 2" in diameter. Our quick-pin brace adjusts from 2-½" up to 15" making the brace ideal for multi-driver cars. The plate that bolts to the back of the seat is 2-½" x 8" for a total of 20 square inches. This brace can be used with just about any aluminum or composite seat at any angle. For fore or aft adjustments…just pull a pin, slide the seat and reinstall the pin. For other adjustments the brace can be loosened so that the seat can be tilted or moved up or down, and the brace then re-tightened. SCCA, NASA, BMW CCA Club Racing, PCA Club Racing and IMSA require such braces on all seats. For added safety, in side impacts, we recommend using two of our braces. Excellent product

I am 6-4 and my daughter is 5-4. We share the same car for endurance racing. Obviously we can’t share the same seat. We made quick change seats which we change out at pit stops. This bracket helps make it really easy. I just changed the one bolt to a quick release pin. Therefore it gets 5 stars.

Highly recommended I/O Port Seat Back Brace. Makes seat mounting very easy. Put in my Howe chassis car with Kirkey seat.

Well made and secure, but not an easy install for a Miata.

Not an easy install, as most Kirkey seats do not have a flat back matching the brace bracket. Tight fit in a Miata. Securely reinforces the seat back, and is highly adjustable.
