The Hybrid S Head Restraint is FIA approved and is tested and shown to be compatible with 3-point harnesses used by Car Club enthusiasts and High Performance Driving Experiences. This allows Driving Instructors, Auto Manufacturing Test Engineers, and other cars with 3-point harnesses to have added protection.  We are pleased to offer protection to this sector of the market, however, Simpson’s top concern is your safety.  While on a racetrack for the BEST protection we suggest a Full-Containment Cockpit System that includes a Full Containment Seat, Snell rated Helmet, FIA or SFI approved Head Restraint, and 7 point seatbelt harness system.

  • FIA Approved
  • High-quality carbon fiber construction
  • Low profile. No high back to hook on the bars on exit
  • Multiple load paths to dissipate head loads
  • Buckle attachment in front. No bulky straps underneath
  • Installation manual

    Choice for HPDE

I got to use this for the first time a few weeks ago. It is only really noticeable when getting in the car. I use it with a three-point seatbelt system in HPDE. I guess you can call me a safety freak but that is OK. WWR had the best price and great service so many thanks with the help.

    Choice for HPDE

I bought for HPDE as I use my daily driver, very comfortable and light. As far as I know, it is the only head and neck restraint usable with 3 pt seatbelts. It is obviously high quality. Installation of anchors was super easy. WRR is the best deal out there, great customer service also. All 2015 helmets have the holes for the Hans posts molded in so with 5 minutes max you use a provided wrench and you are ready to go. Driving it is very comfortable and I barely noticed it. Ross Bentley did a podcast specifically on this product if you want to learn more than you would ever need to know.

    Great product

I purchased this to use while instructing in cars that only have 3 point seat belts.Very comfortable, I plan to use it in my production race car as well.
